If the surface already has lingering water such as from a shower you don t need to add more.

Without dirt the mold has no nutrient source. Safe on most polished and natural marble surfaces. Marble is a delicate stone and must be cleaned with products not containing alcohol or acidic substances such as common household bath cleaners vinegar or lemon juice. Use of cleaners that contain harsh chemicals such as acids is not advisable.

Marble stains very quickly especially if a liquid is allowed to sit untouched for a period of time. Allow the solution to sit for at least 10 minutes. However if the seal has weakened the tiny spores that reproduce into colonies could penetrate the porous surface thus requiring a more involved method of cleaning and removal. Saturate any moldy areas thoroughly.

For stubborn areas an equal mixture of water and white spirit with up to 2 non ionic detergent added may be useful. General grime nicotine build up and fingerprints can usually be cleaned from unpainted marble using white spirit or a mixture of deionised purified water with up to 2 non ionic detergent added. When mold forms on top of properly sealed marble you can easily wipe it away using a marble and granite shower cleaner such as granite gold shower cleaner. Use water based cleaners or those that are ph neutral.

Simply spray the cleaner on the surface and then gently wipe with a soft and damp cloth. These cleaners safely remove the dirt from your marble. Mold food sources are cellulose materials like body oils soap scum and hair. Step 1 pour three to four drops of gentle dish soap into a bucket of warm water.

In home supply stores you can sometimes find these products marketed as neutral ph cleaners.
