Wipe up then reapply if needed. To start clear and clean the surface. Depending on the product you may need to apply the sealer with a brush or spray it on if it comes in a spray bottle. Spray spot lightly with distilled water then sprinkle a thick layer of corn starch over the area.

For grease splatters sprinkle area immediately with corn starch and allow to sit for about 15 minutes. This is enough for mildly soiled tables. Marble tables are highly susceptible to water rings and water marks.
