The carbonation in soft drinks will help you clean spilled drinks quickly but act fast because some of the dyes in the drinks can permanently stain your carpet. Fill a cup with lukewarm water and spill it on the area that has your child s urine. If the urine has dried onto the carpet for a long time use a store bought enzyme based cleaner to remove the smell. To treat fresh stains just blot the urine with paper towels neutralize the scent with vinegar and deodorize with baking soda.
